For a donation of just $10 per ticket you can enter the CASA Drawdown for a chance to own this fabulous custom made “hatinator” that is perfect for your next Mardi Gras or Kentucky Derby event! Handmade by Mobile’s premier milliner, Valerie Case of Rua Flores Inspired Hats, the hat is made of white sinamay straw with a sheer overlay of white tulle dotted with pearls. Embellished with vintage silk roses, sinamay ribbon and a curled red pheasant feather. Value $350. Valerie, also a friend of CASA, has once again kindly donated one of her unique creations to help raise funds for CASA Mobile.
The drawdown will be held at the Country Club of Mobile on May 7th at our Hats and Horses Kentucky Derby event that will take place at 2pm. There will be food, drinks, and other activities, AND you will get to see the “best two minutes in sports” while supporting an incredibly worthy cause. You do not have to be present to win the hat. A CASA board member will contact you to arrange pick up/delivery if necessary. There is no limit to the number of tickets you can buy and may be purchased by clicking the donate button below.
CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. The mission of CASA is to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children who are involved in Juvenile Court. We provide screened, well-trained, court appointed advocates to children to ensure that each child finds a safe, permanent, nurturing home. A CASA volunteer is a child’s voice in court. Juvenile Court judges appoint CASA Volunteers to cases to gather information that enables the court to make the best possible decision.
Please support our fundraiser and help us continue to be a voice for children who may otherwise go unheard.
